Izuku Midoriya, the boy who inherited One For All and his quest to become the new symbol of peace after All Might, is the shonen heroine My Hero Academia. But there’s more to come. Izuku isn’t the only one who aspires to be a great hero. Izuku is simply one of 20 students from the 1-A class at UA, and several of his classmates are rather unusual, even in a world filled with differences.
The hero prince Kiyofu was a bold and courageous teenager, who called himself the Prince of the Waters. However, there is always the raven-headed Fumikage Tokoyami or the extraordinary Ochaco Uraraka, a girl who can manipulate gravity. My Hero Academia has not only one central hero, but 20 different budding students with extraordinary powers to discover. Many aspects of her character are simply strange or as yet undescribed, and while these alters are unimportant in the grand scheme of things, viewers who look closely can see just how unique My Hero Academia is. 10) Why does Mezo pay tribute to a famous teacher, Kakashi Hatake?
Many characters in My Hero Academia allude to shonen heroes from previous generations and American comic book heroes, such as Hanta Sero being Spider-Man or Tetsutetsu being similar to Colossus from the X-Men. But what about Mezo Shoji?
Mezo Shoji can be seen as a Kakashi Hatake of Naruto fame, with his blue mask and grey hair. However, considering Shikamaru Nara’s description, it’s strange because Mezo is not a mentor at all but rather someone experienced.
9) Aren't her shoulders getting sore?
Additional cartoon characters will be added, much to the delight of fans. On a comical note, one wonders if having a set of six arms comes at a price. At Sound Four in Naruto, Kidomaru estumanha Machamp of the eight-armed Pokémon (Naruto 8). That’s still a lot. This is bound to weigh heavily on these protagonists.
This is the case when you have pain in a few different places on your body. However, if Mezo has a severe pain in his elbow when he has three arms on his shoulders and all the collective mass, what will happen to him? The poor kid needs a lot of massages and rest.
8) Why does Mezo cover his mouth at all?
Why does Mezo Shoji have to cover part of his face at all times? It’s a habit for some heroes, like the pro Hawk hero and his yellow visor, or Katsuki Bakugo’s black mask over his eyes, to hide parts of their face as part of the costume. But these are not clothes for living together.
Meanwhile, Mezo Shoji continues to wear the blue mask over his nose and mouth, or a comparable mask when he dons his hero costume. This was done for the sake of others in his hometown, but why continue at school?
7) Why is Mezo's head elongated?
With an Alter, the body may have a different shape, from Fumikage’s characteristic angle to Hanta Sero’s huge elbows, to Mina Ashido’s pinkish skin and black sclerotics. What about Mezo Shoji’s head? She has modified her arms, which is natural.
For some reason, Mezo has a forehead that is somewhat elongated, which is even more obvious from the shape of her hair, which extends quite far forward. It is not known how the Quirk of the arms changed the shape of his head. Or is it something entirely independent?
6) Why does Mezo have so few possessions?
Even the best of intentions cannot prevent Shoji Mezo from putting his works into practice, which he tries to explain in the anime. He simply pointed out that some questions remain unanswered. In Class 1-A, students took turns this season checking out each other’s custom rooms. Yuga Aoyama’s wonderful living quarters in Mina Ashido are under scrutiny. Mezo’s on the other hand?
In fact, Mezo Shoji’s room was extremely basic, with just a wooden desk and a rug to sit on, and a simple futon. Even Ochaco Uraraka, who came from a poor family, found ways to personalise his room. There is no way to change Mezo’s bland personality. Is he hiding something?
5) Why does Mezo have military-style civilian clothes?
Civilian clothing is preferred by each of the AU students, who discard common clothing as often as possible to go out or fight as a trainee hero. Most of these clothes are commonplace, as is clear from the sketch. Mezo’s is a little bit strange.
For some obscure reason, Mezo is presented in camo trousers, boots of the same category as the tank top, a belt and a tank top. Just a couple of identity cards are missing. Perhaps he chose the second job of Mezo’s dream, after the professional hero, as joining the Japanese armies?
4) Can Mezo make additional complete heads?
Mezo Shoji’s alter is not only enough to provide him with additional arms. It also allows him to create eyes, mouths and ears on the ends of his extra limbs, making him a competent scout in battle. Can he train his Alter hard enough to give rise to fully formed heads but not just sensory organs?
Conceptual Art believes it is possible, but that not all the details of the first artistic prototypes have been incorporated into the finished product. For the moment, Mezo resists or cannot imagine new heads. If he could, it would be a sight to behold.
3) Why is Mezo's Hair Grey?

2) Why does her Alter include straps?
It’s obvious that the webbing between Mezo Shoji’s arms is valuable, as he can use it as a dome to protect his allies (like Minoru Mineta and Tsuyu), and he can also use it as an organic hang glider. But how did he get there?
Having six arms is the source of the Mezo alter, and although the webbing almost penetrates between his arms, it must not always be present. How is it that a bat-like voice was transmitted to a bat-like suspension medium? It could very well have had no strap, but in practical terms it is better.
1) Why does Mezo only speak through his extra mouths?
The nature and origin of this phenomenon remain a mystery. Plausible theories exist, but none of them have been proven yet. The facial masks of anime characters such as Kakashi Hatake or Ken Kaneki can speak quite clearly, and there is reason to believe that Mezo Shoji can too. But he doesn’t even try.
Instead, Mezo uses a mouth on his extra limbs to speak, which is rather noticeable. Is he too shy to use his real mouth? Does he have a problem using it for some reason? Maybe it’s just Mezo’s intention to look cool.
