Shota Aizawa, for those who enjoy the My Hero Academia anime, is a real enigma at the moment. Shota’s ability to only turn off another individual’s doppelganger, while incredibly strong on the front end (as seen when the League of Villains attacked UA), is well known.
Also, little is known about the hero’s erased past or how he became a hero. My Hero Academia fans, however, are in luck. For any fans who want to know more about Mr. Aizawa’s past and how he became the hero he is today in My Hero Academia, look no further. Spoilers for the upcoming anime and manga are coming soon. 10) The Current Mic Gave It The Name Gumhead
Fans around the world have fallen in love with some of the most unique and amazing superheroes ever created thanks to the My Hero Academia series by mangaka Kohei Horikoshi. In My Hero Academia , students are introduced to the UA, a school designed to train future heroes.
In the programme, viewers eagerly follow the young heroes as they develop their superhero persona, starting with their own superhero name, which they choose at school.
However, it was a young Present Mic who nicknamed him Eraser Head when he was at school and still lacked confidence.
9) It's a Cat
Shota Aizawa is, without a doubt, a feline individual. It was in fact an encounter with a cat that helped him establish himself as the talented hero he would later become when he was younger.
Aizawa was driving to school one rainy day when he found a stray cat on the road. He stopped, unfurled his umbrella and left it with the poor rain-soaked young animal.
Aizawa, on the other hand, was on his way to school in the rain, without an umbrella, since he had already been there. His good friend Oboro ended up arriving late to class after picking up the same stray cat that Aizawa had abandoned in the rain.
8) He Wasn't Always Sure To Be A Hero
After the cat incident, and after seeing how his friend Oboro had behaved more heroically than he had, Aizawa wasn’t sure he could become a real hero. What could he do to solve real problems if he couldn’t even save a poor little cat from the rain?
He was still getting used to his new body, and in this state he couldn’t do anything. Oboro and Hizashi (the young Present Mic) were there to encourage him, telling him that if he believed in himself, he could one day become a fantastic hero.
7) His Friend Oboro Shirakumo Gave Him His Glasses
Shota begins doing basic patrols with Oboro, hoping to help and learn where he can, after being hired by His Purple Highness for his work-study, along with his friend Oboro. The incident with the burglar who could produce smoke from his body has left Aizawa ineffective, however, and the criminal is released, much to the frustration of everyone on Aizawa’s side.
Oboro tells him that he will take responsibility and apologise to the girl’s parents. Aizawa is furious with Oboro. Oboro just wants to know what he could do better in a similar (or comparable) situation. Perceiving people as purely good or just bad, while ignoring individual qualities such as honesty, courage or perseverance.
6) Oboro Is Also The One Who First Suggested To Aizawa To Work With Children
Oboro and Aizawa spent a lot of time together working for His Purple Highness, with Oboro and Aizawa trying to improve as heroes. One day, while accompanying children to school, Oboro witnesses Aizawa’s care and concern for the youngsters he is accompanying.
It was after dropping the children off that Oboro told Aizawa that he was great with children and that he should consider working with young people. Although Aizawa disagrees, Oboro’s perception is correct when a young person comes to say goodbye to him personally.
5) He Lost His Best Friend (Oboro) In His First Big Fight With The Evil Garvey
Aizawa and Oboro must evacuate the area after dropping the children off at school, as Garvey is in the area and wreaking havoc.
Oboro employs his alter, Cloud, to produce thick clouds dense enough to support a weight just as school is almost out. Despite being crushed by debris throughout the episode.
4) After What He Did To Beat Garvey On His Own
With his advisor, His Purple Highness, on the account, and his friend Oboro (whom Aizawa did not know) dead, Aizawa does everything to stop Garvey in his tracks. Although Aizawa struggles to feel confident as a hero, he hears Oboro’s voice encouraging him.
Oboro encourages him, and Aizawa manages to take down the villain who single-handedly killed his master. He goes in search of Oboro, but when he arrives, he finds only his friend carried away in a body bag.
3) After Oboro's Death, Aizawa Retires Almost Completely
After the death of his colleague Oboro, who had helped him on his hero journey and with whom he had planned to start an expert hero business after graduating from AU, Aizawa has become increasingly quiet. His classmates don’t understand why he stops participating in activities and his grades are actually good, but he begins to focus exclusively on combat training.
Although his instructors are concerned, there is little they can do to help the young Aizawa who is clearly in agony.
2) Midnight Is The Hero Who Driven Aizawa To Become A Teacher
After graduating from AUs, Izawa went into business and became a hero specializing in fighting evil. After some time and accomplishment, Aizawa runs into Midnight, with whom he had previously worked with His Purple Highness. Midnight tells him that the UA principal has personally asked him to be a teacher at the school, and that Aizawa should consider it.
Midnight, in turn, submits a recommendation on Aizawa’s behalf (unknowingly) and is hired as a teacher at AU.
1) Aizawa Meets Everyone After Raiding the Villains' Factory
At some point in his career, Aizawa is persuaded (again, by Midnight) to join the police force and work on cases of villain attacks that have blown up considerably. The police, along with the heroes, prepare a raid on the facility that produced the bad guys after learning of Onumura Pharma Corp’s creation of a drug, Trigger, that enhances the abilities of weak alters.
Although he doesn’t know it, Aizawa will meet Toshinori Yagi for the first time after this operation. Although he doesn’t realize it yet, All Might is his hero.
Who is Shota Aizawa and why does everyone love him?
My Hero Academia is a manga series that is perhaps the most popular superhero comic in the world. It is read by millions worldwide each week in Weekly Shonen Jump and on the Shonen Jump and Manga PLUS apps, where it regularly appears in the Bookscan rankings along with its manga volumes published by VIZ Media.
In addition, it is the basis for a very popular anime that will be released this fall with a feature film. All in all, Kohei Horikoshi’s high school superhero tale seems to be getting more and more popular.
Shota “Eraserhead” Aizawa, a high school teacher at UA High School, is one of the most prominent characters in the series. In addition to instructing the rambunctious group of teenage heroes in Class 1-A, his black clothes, wrapped scarf, and perpetually exhausted and crazy appearance make him an instant sensation, but he’s also a dedicated educator, a competent hero, and one of the most hilarious characters in the series.
The Caprice and Weaknesses of Aizawa
The hero’s name is not Eraserhead, because Aizawa is a big fan of David Lynch. His alter ego – the term MHA uses for his superpowers – is called “Eraserhead”, hence the name. This ability allows him to temporarily dissipate the influence of anyone around him (with the exception of those who have been physically changed by their doubles, such as A-1 student Shoji “Tentacole” Mezo. ). While this is an extraordinary power for a lone hero and a tactical advantage when part of a group, it has some significant drawbacks.
Erasure only lasts as long as Aizawa is looking directly at the person he wants to erase. Since his abilities are based on staring continuously without blinking, he has a terrible dry eye. Therefore, he always carries eye drops with him.
If he blinks, for example, or if his field of vision is obstructed, his erasure is reversed and the target regains its alter. As a result, Aizawa usually tries to gain the upper hand in an altercation or position himself so that he cannot be easily attacked.
Eraserhead, on the other hand, is a force to be reckoned with if he has to face an opponent head on. He is a fast and agile hand-to-hand fighter who can defend himself in combat.
The Personality of Aizawa
The reason why Aizawa decided to become a teacher is never explained or hinted at in the series, but it doesn’t really matter since he is completely devoted to his students. When Class 1-A clashes with the League of Villains, Aizawa runs several times to defend his students at all costs.
This was first shown in the “unplanned joint simulation” story arc, when an AU combat training facility – like the X-Men’s Danger Room – was attacked by supervillains.
Shota found herself in a one-on-one fight with the leader of the League of Villains, Tomura Shigaraki, when her power began to diminish due to overuse.
Tomura pointed out the decrease in the number of seconds his suppressions would last, broke his elbow, and then hit Shota hard enough that he was ambushed by the League’s henchman, the horrible Nomu.
Shota was attacked by a monster. Shota’s face and arm were cut off, and he was horribly injured. Even after the heroes won, leaving Shota with a visible scar under one eye, he remained disfigured under one eye.
Nevertheless, beneath layers of sarcasm and indifference, there is usually a genuine concern and care for his students. On occasion, students have arrived at their classes to find Aizawa sitting with a surprised look on his face, even though he had been in his yellow sleeping bag all along.
Izuku Midoriya noted that Aizawa seemed terrifying when they first met, which was compounded by Aizawa’s constant encouragement to manage his unstable alter.
Despite his casual demeanor and neutral appearance, Aizawa is truly committed to raising the next generation of heroes and preserving the peace. That’s why, even though he’s not a main character, fans clamor for him every time he appears on the page or screen, because he’s likable enough that they want to see more of him.
